Welcome to the vibrant heart of Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our team will warmly greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a welcome orientation where we will provide essential trek information, review your equipment, and introduce your experienced trekking guides. Take the evening to explore the lively streets of Thamel, enjoy local cuisine, or simply relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Today, we embark on the journey toward the Everest region. A scenic drive from Kathmandu to the airstrip at Ramachap sets the tone with picturesque views of rolling hills and traditional villages. From Ramachap, a thrilling mountain flight takes you to Lukla, gateway to the Khumbu region. After a warm welcome by our trekking team, we begin our trek to Phakding (2,804m). The trail follows the lively Dudh Koshi River, passing through charming Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries. Overnight at a teahouse in Phakding.
The trail gradually ascends through dense pine forests and suspension bridges over the roaring Dudh Koshi River. Stop at villages along the way to observe local life and enjoy panoramic mountain views. The highlight is reaching Namche Bazaar (3,441m), the bustling Sherpa hub and gateway to the high Himalayas. Spend the evening strolling through local markets, visiting cafes, and enjoying your first views of Everest from this vibrant town.
Acclimatization is key at high altitudes. Today, enjoy a relaxed hike to Shyangboche for stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Later, visit Khumjung Village, home to the famous Hillary School and the Himalayan Rescue Association. Explore traditional Sherpa culture, monasteries, and local life, returning to Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay.
Leaving Namche, the trail winds through pine forests and scenic valleys. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of Ama Dablam rising majestically against the sky. Arrive at Tengboche (3,860m), home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu region. Witness the serene atmosphere and perhaps catch a traditional prayer ceremony, with the backdrop of towering Himalayan peaks. Overnight at a teahouse in Tengboche.
The trail continues through rhododendron forests, high-altitude valleys, and streams. As the terrain becomes more rugged, the views of Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam become increasingly dramatic. Arrive at Dingboche (4,350m), a picturesque village surrounded by terraced fields and mountains. Overnight at a cozy teahouse, enjoying spectacular sunset views.
Today is dedicated to acclimatization, a vital part of a safe trek. Enjoy a gentle hike to Nangkartshang Peak or nearby trails for magnificent views of Island Peak and Ama Dablam. Learn about high-altitude trekking strategies, take in the serene mountain environment, and rest to prepare for the ascent ahead. Overnight in Dingboche.
The trail becomes more rugged, with rocky terrain and sparse vegetation, signaling our approach to the high Himalayas. Cross moraines and glacial streams, observing the unique alpine landscape. Arrive at Lobuche (4,910m), a small settlement at the edge of the Khumbu Glacier, where breathtaking peaks surround you. Overnight at a teahouse in Lobuche.
Today is the pinnacle of your journey. Trek through glacial moraine to Everest Base Camp (5,365m), the legendary starting point for climbers ascending the world’s highest peak. Soak in the awe-inspiring views of Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. After capturing memorable photos, return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay, reflecting on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Wake before sunrise for a hike to Kalapatthar, offering arguably the most spectacular panoramic view of Everest. The golden light on the Himalayan peaks is unforgettable. Descend via Gorak Shep and continue trekking to Pheriche (4,371m), enjoying views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding peaks. Overnight at a teahouse in Pheriche.
Begin descending through the high Himalayan valleys. Retrace your path through Tengboche, stopping to admire the monastery once again. Descend gradually to Namche Bazaar, where you can celebrate completing the high-altitude segment of the trek and enjoy a well-deserved evening in comfort.
Continue the descent through pine forests, suspension bridges, and rivers, passing familiar villages along the way. Arrive in Lukla, the end point of the trek, where you can relax and share stories with fellow trekkers. Overnight at a lodge in Lukla.
Take a scenic morning flight back from Lukla to Ramachap, followed by a drive to Kathmandu. Spend the day at leisure: explore Thamel’s vibrant streets, indulge in a spa, or shop for souvenirs. Celebrate your adventure with a farewell dinner.
After breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Depart with memories of towering peaks, Sherpa hospitality, and an unparalleled adventure in the world’s highest mountains.
